The apartment which is part of this substantial country house enjoys breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside and Lake Vinuela from its own private terrace. The apartment has been styled in the old Andalucian way with beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, reflecting the areas charm, it is spacious and comfortably furnished.
In the apartment you will find two large bedrooms, each with en suite shower rooms, a lounge with dining table, comfortable seating and magnificent views from its patio doors, which lead out to the private terrace. The galley style kitchen is well fitted with electric oven, four-ring domino gas hob, and a fridge freezer for your cool summer beers. It is also well equipped with crockery/cutlery, kettle and toaster. There is use of a washing machine should you need it. In the lounge you will find a television and video player. The lounge and bedrooms all have double sliding patio doors which open out onto the large terrace.
The terrace has a BBQ, sun beds, parasol, table and chairs for your outdoor eating and enjoyment of the spectacular views. All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided for your convenience.
We have a 4.5 metre by 11 metre one level swimming pool with extensive terracing where you can relax with a book or enjoy the sun. Why not try the new Jacuzzi and take in the panoramic views from this side of the house. We even have our own “cave”, here you can curl up and have that afternoon doze!!
The apartment is ideally situated for those who love walking and bird watching; some of the birds seen here are the Bee Eaters, Hoopoes, Sparrow Hawks , Kestrels, Honey Buzzards and Eagles. Or you can simply relax in beautiful surroundings. The location is also ideal for landscape, or flora and fauna painting.
If you enjoy golf, the newly opened Baviera Golf Course is close by, and Anoreta Golf course is thirty minutes drive away. A car is a necessity here and can be made full use of: We are within easy traveling distance of Granada, with its Alhambra Palace, Nerja with its impressive caves and lovely beaches, Malaga with a wealth of history, art galleries and places of interest. Ronda has the oldest Plaza de Toros (bullring) in this part of Spain, the hot springs at Alhama de Granada and many more interesting places including Comares are here to see and enjoy.
On the other side of the lake is Puente Don Manuel an up and coming village with several Bars, Restaurants and shops. Torre del Mar is approximately 20 minutes drive away and has a long beach and promenade with many bars, and its famous fish restaurants and ice cream parlours. There is a large shopping centre within easy driving distance with bars shops and a cinema showing many of their films in English. There is also a newly opened bowling alley and two games can be purchased for as little as 6€, must be worth a try. Velez Malaga the capital town of the Axarquia is an interesting Spanish Town, with a long history of defending this area - its castle still dominates the view of the town.
Please Note: We are in the countryside and therefore quite rural. We have an excellent restaurant about 1 kilometer from the house, it is a downhill walk so uphill on the way back! The views from the house are fantastic and the peace and quiet unbelievable.
